Check out this terrific 10-minute excerpt from the documentary Louder Than a Bomb, which tells the story of 4 Chicago high school poetry teams as they prepare for the world's largest youth slam.
It’s an inspiring reminder of the intelligence of high school students who flower when listened to. Their poetry is a “bulletin from the front” of our culture — a message to adults everywhere that all experience can be shaped into art, and the onus is on us to listen, and to embrace as fully as we can, the young artists among us.
